Abstract:
The present invention further accelerates operations for reading out and transferring digital signals by reducing the wait time until reading out of digital signals from data storage units of respective pixels is completed. This solid-state imaging element is provided with: a pixel array unit where a plurality of pixels are arrayed in a two-dimensional grid, the pixels being provided with a pixel circuit for outputting an analog signal, an analog-digital converter for analog-digital conversion of the analog signal, and a data storage unit for storing the digital signal obtained by analog-digital conversion; and a data transfer unit provided with a readout circuit for reading out the digital signals from the data storage units in accordance with a control signal, a transfer circuit for synchronizing the digital signals that have been read out at the readout circuit to a clock signal and transferring same to a signal processing unit, and a control signal supply circuit for synchronizing the control signal to the clock signal and supplying same to the readout circuit.
