Abstract:
This technology relates to a solid-state imaging element and a method of driving the same with which it is possible to generate an HDR image having low image quality degradation, and to an electronic device. This solid-state imaging element is provided with a pixel array unit in which a plurality of pixels are disposed two-dimensionally in a matrix, and a control unit which drives the pixels in such a way as to read, simultaneously, pixel signals of pixels in a plurality of rows in the pixel array unit. The pixel signal of a first pixel row from among the plurality of rows of pixel signals that have been read simultaneously is a first frame pixel signal, and the pixel signal of a second pixel row is a second frame pixel signal. This technique can be applied to a solid-state imaging element or the like.
