Abstract:
The present invention pertains to: a solid-state imaging element that enables an increase in autofocus (AF) control precision; a method for driving same; and an electronic apparatus. A pixel drive unit drives pixels disposed at a pixel array unit at which first pixels, which correspond to each color component among a plurality of color components, and second pixels, of which the brightness component is the primary component, are disposed regularly in a matrix, and a signal processing circuit unit uses only the pixel information obtained from high-sensitivity pixels among the first pixels and second pixels to execute a predetermined addition process, and thus pixel values used in AF control are calculated. The present technology can be used, for example, in CMOS imaging sensors.
