Abstract:
The present technique relates to: a solid-state imaging element which is capable of improving image quality by suppressing voltage variation in a charge retention unit; a method for driving the solid-state imaging element; and an electronic device. A first photoelectric conversion unit generates a signal charge by receiving light that is incident on a pixel and photoelectrically converting the light, and stores the signal charge. A first charge retention unit retains the generated signal charge. A first output transistor outputs the signal charge in the first charge retention unit as a pixel signal in cases where a pixel is selected by a first selection transistor. A first voltage control transistor controls the voltage of an output terminal of the first output transistor. The present technique is applicable, for example, to a pixel of a solid-state imaging element, and the like.
