Abstract:
The present technique pertains to a solid-state imaging element and a method for driving same that make it possible to sufficiently expand a dynamic range and obtain an image having higher quality, and an electronic device. A unit pixel is provided with a first photoelectric conversion part and a second photoelectric conversion part. An electric charge accumulation part is connected to the second photoelectric conversion part via a second transfer gate part, and the electric charge obtained by photoelectric conversion in the second photoelectric conversion part is transferred to the electric charge accumulation part via the second transfer gate. An anti-blooming gate part is also connected to the second photoelectric conversion part, and makes it possible to reset the second photoelectric conversion part. Therefore, a burst drive is possible for the unit pixel in which an exposure operation of the second photoelectric conversion part and a transfer operation for transferring the electric charge obtained by the second photoelectric conversion part are repeated twice or more in a one-frame period. The present technique can be applied to a car-mounted camera.
