Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a solid-state imaging element, a method for operating a solid-state imaging element, an imaging device, and an electronic device which achieve power saving of a solid-state imaging element. Before switching is performed such that a signal output of an (N+1)th row driver is transmitted after a signal output of an Nth row driver to be outputted on the basis of a selection signal of a vertical scanning unit has been outputted, the Nth row and (N+1)th row drivers are brought into a floating state, and control signal lines to which the signal outputs of the drivers are transmitted are short-circuited, thereby dispersing charge and increasing the potential of the next (N+1)th row control signal line to an intermediate potential. Thereafter, the (N+1)th row driver outputs the signal output. Consequently, the (N+1)th row driver can reduce power consumption since only a shift from the intermediate potential to a Hi level is required. The present disclosure is applicable to a solid-state imaging element.
