Abstract:
This solid-state imaging element is provided with: a pixel array unit in which a plurality of unit pixels including a photoelectric conversion unit are arranged in a matrix; a constant current source unit having a constant current source connected to each of vertical signal lines provided to correspond to a column array of the pixel array unit; and a control unit for controlling the constant current source unit. The constant current source comprises a plurality of transistors. When the plurality of transistors are regarded as one transistor the gate width and gate length of which are equivalent, the control unit switches the ratio between gate width and gate length of the plurality of transistors on the basis of the illuminance of an imaging environment.
