Abstract:

A light source assembly (100, 100', 100") comprises a dielectric body (120, 120', 120") having an exterior surface and a light source (110) mounted coaxially proximate an end of the dielectric body (120, 120', 120"). A first electrical lead (112) of the light source provides an electrical lead (134) at an end of the dielectric body (120, 120', 120") distal the solid state light source (110) and a second electrical lead (114) thereof provides an electrical lead (114) at the periphery of the dielectric body (120, 120', 120"). A resilient member (118, 118') improves electrical contact of the second electrical lead (114) at the periphery.
