Abstract:

Provided are: a composition which has an excellent effect of controlling hardness, is usable as a solid agent in various cosmetics and can impart excellent shape retention properties, oil stain-preventing effect in using, good use feeling and high storage stability to cosmetics comprising the same; and an oily solid cosmetic comprising the composition. The solid wax composition according to the present invention comprises candelilla wax as component (A) and a monoester having 40-48 carbon atoms in total as component (B), wherein the ratio by mass of component (A) to component (B) in the solid wax composition [component (A) : component (B)] is 45:55 to 95:5, and the monoester is a monoester of a monovalent fatty acid and a monohydric alcohol.
