Abstract:
Provided is a solid wire for gas metal arc welding use, which generates a reduced amount of fumes during welding and is suitable as a welding material for an Mn-rich steel material. A solid wire according to the present invention has a composition comprising, in % by mass, 0.20 to 0.80% of C, 0.15 to 0.90% of Si, 15.0 to 30.0% of Mn, 0.030% or less of P, 0.030% or less of S, 0.020% or less of Al, 0.01 to 10.00% of Ni, 6.0 to 15.0% of Cr, 0.01 to 3.50% of Mo, 0.010% or less of O, 0.120% or less of N, with the remainder comprising Fe and unavoidable impurities.
