Abstract:
Provided is a novel soluble polyfunctional vinyl aromatic copolymer capable of giving a cured product or molded body having improved heat resistance, compatibility, dielectric properties, reliability in moist heat and thermal oxidative deterioration resistance. The present invention discloses: a polyfunctional vinyl aromatic copolymer which contains structural units derived from a divinyl aromatic compound (a), styrene (b) and a monovinyl aromatic compound (c) other than styrene, wherein the copolymer contains repeating units comprising an unsaturated hydrocarbon group represented by formula (a1) derived from the divinyl aromatic compound (a), and terminals of the copolymer contain prescribed quantities of specific terminal groups having vinyl groups derived from monomers (a), (b) and (c) and vinylene bonds; and a method for producing same.
