Title:
SORPTION-TYPE HEAT EXCHANGE MODULE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/077672
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This invention provides a sorption-type energy saving heat exchange module with high heat exchange efficiency and a process for producing the same by solving problems with durability, regeneration temperature, bacteria, or molds involved, despite a high level of hygroscopic properties and easiness to handle, in inorganic adsorbents such as silica gel, zeolite, activated alumina, activated carbon, and molecular sieves used in conventional heat exchange module. This sorption-type heat exchange module is characterized in that a hygroscopic layer, which comprises, as an indispensable component, an organic polymeric sorbent comprised of an organic polymer having in its molecule a hydrophilic polar group and a crosslinked structure, has a saturated moisture absorptivity under conditions of 20°C and 65%RH of not less than 20% by weight and a saturated moisture absorptivity under conditions of 20°C and 90%RH of not less than 40% by weight and a saturated moisture absorptivity difference under these conditions of not less than 20% by weight, is provided on a highly heat conductive metal surface.
