Abstract:
A problem of a method of separating objects of a specific material from a mixture by discharging pulse air from a pulse air nozzle and blowing off the objects to a position farther away from a place to which the mixture drops by gravity is that the amount of collection of the objects is limited. A method of separating a first target object (2) and a second target object (7) from objects (101) to be sorted out, wherein the method includes: a transfer step for transferring the objects (101) to be sorted out which are in a mounted state; a discrimination step for discriminating the first target object (2); a positional information obtaining step for obtaining positional information relating to the first target object (2); a dropping step for dropping, from the end of a transfer path, the objects (101) to be sorted out; a first change step for changing the path of drop of the first target object (2) by applying a first air flow (F1), which is generated in a pulse pattern, to the first target object (2) which is dropping; and a second change step for changing, by means of a second air flow (F2), the path of drop of the first target object (2) which jumps up to a height greater than or equal to a predetermined height.
