Title:
SOUND-ABSORBING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/230992
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In this sound-absorbing material which comprises an aggregate of resin fibers, the average fiber diameter of the resin fibers is not less than 3000 nm but less than 8000 nm, and the porosity of the aggregate is 0.95-0.99. Alternatively, the average fiber diameter of the resin fibers is not less than 4450 nm but less than 7700 nm, and the porosity of the aggregate is 0.92-0.99. The flow resistivity of the aggregate is preferably at most 100,000 [Ns/m4]. The resin fibers included in the aggregate are preferably made of a thermoplastic resin. Preferably, the melting point of the thermoplastic resin is lower than 200°C. As the thermoplastic resin, a polyolefin, and particularly polypropylene may be used. As a result, provided is a sound-absorbing material that can attain a high sound absorption coefficient α over a wide frequency range. In particular, provided is a sound-absorbing material that exhibits excellent sound-absorbing performance by means of the aggregate of resin fibers such as polypropylene fibers, and that has high quality and high production efficiency.
