Abstract:
[Problem] A purpose of the present invention is to provide a sound collection tool and a hearing assistance device that can be manufactured at low cost due to a simple structure, do not need to be worn directly on the body of a listener, and can reliably collect acoustic waves that are emitted from a wide range. [Solution] A hearing assistance device 1 comprises a sound collection tool 2 that is attached to a chair body 3. The sound collection tool 2 is structured from a first reflection plate 21 and a second reflection plate 22 that are substantially curved. The first reflection plate 21 and the second reflection plate 22 are structured from a partial paraboloid or a partial ellipsoid of revolution, said partial paraboloid being a portion cut from a paraboloid of revolution so as to include the axis of revolution thereof, said paraboloid of revolution resulting from revolution, around the axis of revolution, of a parabolic line that is based on a prescribed focal point, and said partial ellipsoid of revolution being a portion cut from an ellipsoid of revolution so as to include the axis of revolution thereof, said ellipsoid of revolution resulting from revolution, around the axis of revolution, of an ellipse that is based on prescribed focal points.
