Abstract:
This sound control device for a vehicle comprises: a motor rotation speed detector (2) that detects the rotation speed of a motor for driving the vehicle; a speaker (4) that is installed in a vehicle interior and produces a vehicle interior sound including a motor sound changing in accordance with the rotation speed of the motor; an emphasized order setting unit (6) that determines an order component to be emphasized in the motor sound in accordance with the rotation speed detected by the motor rotation speed detector (2); and a vehicle interior sound control unit (7) that controls the vehicle interior sound produced by the speaker (4) so that the emphasized order component determined by the emphasized order setting unit (6) is emphasized. The emphasized order setting unit (6) determines an order component to be emphasized so that a higher order component is emphasized as the rotation speed increases.
