Abstract:
An acquisition unit (720) sequentially acquires vehicle speed information from a vehicle (MV) and sends the acquired vehicle speed information to a control unit (730). On the basis of the vehicle speed information sent by the acquisition unit (720), the control unit (730) determines whether a substantially constant vehicle speed state, which occurs when the change in the vehicle speed of the vehicle (MV) is within a predetermined range, continues across a predetermined period of time. If the substantially constant vehicle speed state is determined to have continued across the predetermined period of time, the control unit (730) controls a supply unit (740) to reduce the output volume of vehicle reminder tones output to the vehicle interior. If the vehicle speed changes and exceeds the predetermined range while the output volume is undergoing reduction processing, the control unit (730) suspends the output volume reduction processing and controls the supply unit (740) to return the output volume of the vehicle reminder tones to an output volume corresponding to the present speed in which volume reduction processing is not carried out. Thus, passenger discomfort caused by the continuous output of artificial vehicle reminder tones at a constant volume over a long period of time is prevented.
