Abstract:
A sound generating toy of simple construction, which provides a feeling of reality, and can generate an effective sound without the need of any electric power source. The sound generating toy comprises a toy body having a head which comprises a mouth (4), a door member (5) adapted to turn when a food toy (3) enters the mouth, a spring wound mechanism (6) for actuation interlocking with the door member, a spring unit (7), and a sound output unit (A). An eccentric rotating member (15) fixed to an output shaft (14) of the spring unit is rotated to engage with a sound generator (8), whereby the sound generator generates sound periodically.
