Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a sound generation device whereby a coil can be easily and securely fixed to a yoke, in a drive mechanism; and a production method therefor. [Solution] A first yoke 21 and a second yoke 22 are combined and a first magnet 24 and a second magnet 25 are incorporated, to assemble a magnetic field generation unit 20. A support plate 28 is fixed to a downwards-facing outer surface 22c of the second yoke 22 and a coil 27 is adhered and fixed on to the support plate 28 via an adhesive layer 29. An armature 32 inserts a movable section 32a thereof into a gap between the coil 27 and the magnets 24, 25 and fixes a base section 32b thereof to an outer surface 21b of the first yoke 21. The outer surface 21b of the first yoke 21 is then fixed to a frame 5.
