Abstract:
Disclosed is a sound generator provided with a sound generating body (7), a base (2), a protection wall (22) and a vertical wall (23). The sound generating body has a diaphragm (72) and a driving part (73) for causing the diaphragm to vibrate to generate a sound by means of current carrying. The base has a base cylindrical part (21) in which the sound generating body is contained and a barrier wall (24) in which a sound emission hole (25) for guiding the sound to a sound emission area is formed. The base cylindrical part is separated into a first space (4) and a second space (5) by the diaphragm and the barrier wall. The protection wall is so located as to be spaced from the barrier wall in the direction of vibration of the diaphragm and to cover the sound emission area, while the vertical wall connects the protection wall to the base cylindrical part. Between the protection wall, the vertical wall and the barrier wall, a sound emission space (6) is configured to communicate with the first space through the sound emission hole. An outlet hole (61) is formed such that opening the protection wall and the vertical wall at least in one direction causes the sound guided from the first space through the sound emission hole into the sound emission space to be output from the outlet hole.
