A sound identification method, a device, a storage medium, and an electronic device. The method comprises: acquiring sound information generated by a target object (S202); determining whether the acquired sound information generated by the target object is crying information (S204); if so, inputting the sound information into a pre-trained sound model (S206), wherein the sound model comprises a first-level model and a second-level model, the first-level model is used to identify, from the sound information, a need type representing a need of the target object, and the second-level model is used to identify, from the sound information, a need state in the need type; and performing, by means of the first-level model and the second-level model, a specific need representing the target object and corresponding to the sound information (S208). The method solves the problem of the related art in which relying only on experience to identify the sound of an infant crying can lead to errors.
