Abstract:

The sound output device pertaining to the present disclosure is equipped with: a sound acquisition part for acquiring sound to be output into one end of a hollow sound guide part, the other end of which is positioned near the entrance of an ear canal of a listener; and a head-related transfer function adjustment section for adjusting the head-related transfer function of the sound to be taken into the sound guide part. Because the head-related transfer function of the sound to be taken into the sound guide part is adjusted at the head-related transfer function adjustment section, the sound from the sound output device presented together with ambient sound can be listened to without a sense of discomfort when the sound output device is worn.
