Disclosed are a sound playback method and system for realizing sound volume differences in multiple zones. A sound playback method for realizing sound volume differences in multiple zones sequentially comprises the following steps: S1, setting control points of sound playback zones Z1, Z2..., and ZN, wherein N is greater than or equal to 2; S2, taking a target sound volume level 11 of the zone Z1 as a reference, setting the target sound volume levels of the zones Z2..., and ZN to be 12..., and 1N respectively, and setting target response vectors at the control points in the zones Z1, Z2..., and ZN to be d1, d2..., and dN respectively; S3, acquiring transfer function matrices G1, G2..., and GN from a loudspeaker array to the control points of the zones Z1, Z2..., and ZN; S4, adding a pre-set random error interference to the transfer function matrices G1, G2..., and GN, so as to obtain transfer function matrices G̃1, G̃2..., and G̃ N with the random error interference; and S5, performing optimization processing to calculate the weight vector w of the loudspeaker array.
