This sound production device (100) comprises: an acquisition unit (131) that acquires spatial information indicating a region of a three-dimensional virtual space including a sound source object and one or more three-dimensional objects having first characteristics as acoustic characteristics and coordinate information indicating the configuration of the three-dimensional objects; a display control unit that displays the three-dimensional virtual space; an input unit (133) that inputs settings of characteristics related to late reverberation of the three-dimensional virtual space; a changing unit (134) that changes first characteristics of at least one three-dimensional object to second characteristics on the basis of the characteristics of late reverberation; and an output control unit (135) that switchably outputs a first reproduced sound synthesized on the basis of the characteristics related to the late reverberation and the first characteristics, and a second reproduced sound synthesized on the basis of the characteristics related to the late reverberation and the second characteristics.
