Abstract:
In order to provide information by quantitatively associating sound-symbolizing words and physical characteristic, a sound-symbolizing word/physical characteristic information provision device is equipped with: an input unit for inputting a sound-symbolizing word; a morphological analysis unit for analyzing phonological elements contained in the sound-symbolizing word; a physical characteristic estimation unit for estimating, with respect to the phonological elements of the sound-symbolizing word, a physical characteristic value corresponding to the sound-symbolizing word, on the basis of a phoneme-physical characteristic database defining correlations between the phonological elements and physical characteristic values; and a presentation unit for presenting the estimated physical characteristic values.
