Abstract:
This sound volume control device is connected to a sound output system which amplifies a signal of broadcast sound from a broadcast sound source and outputs the amplified signal from a speaker. The sound volume control device is provided with: a memory which stores correlation data indicating a correlation between the sound volume of broadcast sound and the noise value of noise observed when the signal of the broadcast sound is outputted; an acquisition unit which acquires the sound volume of broadcast sound broadcast at present from the broadcast sound source, and the signal level of a sound signal picked up at present at an observation point; a noise quantity estimation unit which, on the basis of the correlation data, finds the noise value of noise corresponding to the sound volume of the broadcast sound broadcast at present, and using the found noise value, estimates the noise value of noise included in the signal level of the sound signal; and an amplification rate calculation unit which, using the estimated noise value of the noise, calculates the amplification rate of the sound volume of the broadcast sound broadcast at present.
