Abstract:
Provided is space exploration equipment wherein the thermal protective function of apparatuses having a narrow allowable temperature range such as electronics and battery can be enhanced furthermore. The body of equipment, i.e., a body (1), consists of an inner housing (13) for housing electronics (11) and a battery (12), and an outer housing (15) for housing the inner housing (13) in the floating state, a thermal insulation layer (16) is formed of a space between the inner housing (13) and the outer housing (15), a radiator (17) is provided at an upper part of the inner housing (13), a lid (18) is provided at an upper part of the outer housing (15), and the outer surface of the inner and outer housings (13, 15) is covered entirely with a thermal insulation material (20). With such an arrangement, the battery (12) is kept warm at a lowest heat generation rate and the electronics (11) and the battery (12) are protected against cryogenic temperature at night, and the electronics (11) and the battery (12) are protected against high temperature in the daytime by opening the lid (18) and discharging heat by means of the radiator (17).
