Abstract:
The present invention provides a space touch recognition method enabling coordinates to be inputted by a touch on a space according to an image displayed on a display panel, and a space touch recognition device using the same. A space touch recognition method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: recognizing the area between a user's eyebrows by means of a body detecting device; setting a virtual touch space formed by connecting, with a straight line, the center of the area between the eyebrows to the circumference of an image display region of a display device; measuring the distance between a part of the user's body, positioned for a touch on the virtual touch space, and the display device by means of the body detecting device, and setting a virtual coordinate plane to the distance on the virtual touch space corresponding to the measured distance; and acquiring coordinates of the image display region corresponding to coordinates of the part of the body positioned on the virtual coordinate plane. Therefore, a touch recognition rate in the space can be improved.
