Description:
SPACER FOR LAYING FLOORS The subject of the invention is a spacer for laying down floors, especially parquet, laminated or hardwood panels and floor boards.

Until now in laying down parquet, laminated or hardwood panels and floor boards generally standard wedges have been used. Most often they were made of hard grades of wood. They were supposed to insure keeping proper distance between the wall and the first row of parquet, laminated or hardwood panels and floor boards, giving them also a certain support.

There are also known sets of four different wedges which are located on a round disc, in cross arrangement. Those wedges have smallest thickness on outer surface which grows in a radial way, becoming most thick near the disc center.

According to the invention the expansion gap spacer is characterized in that it has the form of a disc whose side surface has a shape outline of a wheel and/or oval and/or ellipse and/or polygon and/or their partial forms and/or their combinations, which has on one side a face wall with"a"lift not bigger than 20° and"ß"inclination not bigger than 20° and on the other side has a rear wall, whereas the face wall is fitted with gripping part, whose outline has beneficially the shape of wheel and/or oval and/or ellipse and/or polygon and/or their combinations ;"a"lift and °ß"inclination are along their total length tangential to the adequate straight lines.

The surface of the face wall has projections, beneficially in the form of steps.

The rear wall has beneficially its outer surface of conical shape, whose vertical angle l'y'l has the value not smaller than 140°. The highest located point of the face wall lies at the height or below the height of the face wall of the gripping part.

The gripping part from the face side is fitted beneficially with at least one shaped hole. The gripping part is fitted beneficially on the side surface with at least one hole. On the side wall there is beneficially at least one hole.

The subject of the invention is shown in examples of execution in drawing, where fig. 1 shows the expansion gap spacer with two shaped surfaces in axial section, fig. 2-shows the expansion gap spacer with two shaped surfaces viewed from the front, fig. 3-shows the expansion gap spacer with one shaped surface in axial section, fig. 4-shows the expansion gap spacer with outline of the external part in the shape of a circle, fig. 5-shows projections in the shape of steps, and fig. 6- shows the expansion gap spacer located between the wall and flooring element being laid down.

As shown in the drawing the expansion gap spacer has the form of a disc 1 whose side surface 2 has an outline of a wheel and/or oval and/or ellipse and/or polygon and/or their and/or their combinations, which on one side has a face wall 3 with a lift not bigger than 20° and J3 inclination not bigger than 20° and on the other side a rear wall 4, whereas the face wall 3 is fitted with a gripping part 5 whose side wall outline 6 has beneficially the shape of a wheel and/or oval and/or ellipse and/or polygon and/or their and/or their combinations."a"lift and"ß"inclination are along their total length tangential to the adequate straight lines 7 and 8. The surface of the face wall 3 has projections 9 beneficially in the shape of steps. The rear wall 4 has beneficially an outer surface 10 of conical shape, whose vertical angle"y"has the value not smaller than 140°. The highest positioned point 11 of the face wall 3 lies on the height or below the face surface 12 of the gripping part 5. The gripping part 5 from the face surface side 12 is fitted beneficially with at least one shaped hole 13. The gripping part 5 is fitted beneficially on the side surface 6 with at least one hole 14. On the side surface 2 there is beneficially at least one hole 15.

According to the invention, using the expansion gap spacer means placing it in the expansion gap 16 between the wall 17 and 18 element of parquet, laminated panel, hardwood panel or floor boards, and then by means of holes 13,14 or 15 in which an additional lever or wrench is placed, causing spacer turning around the surface 10, what causes retreating of element 18 from the wall 17. Element 18 retreating may, depending on fitting requirements be adjusted smoothly, increasing or decreasing spacer turning.
