Abstract:

A spacer which, even if matter being conveyed in a hose is heated to high temperatures or the pressure in the hose is increased, prevents stagnant places of the matter from forming. This spacer is composed of a cylindrical body, which is cut along the shortest line which connects one point in one end of the cylindrical body to one point in the other end and extending on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body and which is not parallel with the axis of the cylindrical body. The spacer is interposed between a tightening means for tightening the outer periphery of the hose end with the end of the hose fitted on a joint, and the end of the hose.
