Abstract:
A spark plug and an engine having a spark plug. The spark plug comprises a spark plug housing (1), the spark plug housing is provided thereon with a gas inlet (4) and a gas duct (5) in communication with the gas inlet, the gas duct can be in communication with a sealed chamber (6), and the sealed chamber is in communication with a pre-combustion chamber. When the pressure in the sealed chamber is lower than a predetermined value, a switch is switched on such that the sealed chamber is conducting to the gas duct; meanwhile, the required pure combustion gas or a higher concentration of a gaseous mixture of combustion gases can enter the gas duct from the gas inlet, through the sealed chamber to the pre-combustion chamber, and then enter a combustion chamber. In such a way, a higher concentration of combustion gas can be provided to a pre-combustion chamber through a spark plug to increase the content of combustible gas in the pre-combustion chamber after the pressure in a combustion chamber is decreased, thus ensuring normal activation and operation of an engine.
