Abstract:
Disclosed is a spark plug with superior salinity tolerance, as well as superior stress-resistance, corrosion and cracking resistance. A spark plug is equipped with a main fitting covered by a composite laminate including a nickel-plating layer, and a chromate layer formed on the nickel-plating layer. The chromate layer has a film thickness of 2 - 45 nm, a Cr element density of 60 at% or lower, and includes Ni in addition to Cr.
