Abstract:
This spark plug is provided with a cap section covering a center electrode and an end part of a ground electrode from the tip side. In a cross-section including an axis line, when X (mm) represents a pitch of a male thread of a main metal fitting, A (mm) represents an axial distance between the thread peak at the rear end of a fully-threaded portion of the male thread and the rear end of a contact portion of an insulator with which the main metal fitting is in contact directly or via another member, B (mm) represents an axial distance between the rear end of the contact portion and the tip of the insulator, and C (mm) represents an axial distance between the rear end of the contact portion and a seating face of the main metal fitting,
0 < A < 4X, B ≤ 15, and C ≤ 3.6 are satisfied.
