Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a receiver which is capable of receiving an arbitrary spatially multiplexed optical signal and a multimode optical signal. [Solution] A receiving device according to the present invention includes: a local light generation source 3 which generates local light to be multiplexed with reception light; a modulation unit 7 which has a plurality of modulation regions 5 in which a plurality of different modulations are respectively given to a plurality of portions of the local light before the local light generated from the local light generation source 3 is multiplexed with the reception light; and a detection unit 11 which has a plurality of detection regions 9 in which light, in which the local light on which the plurality of modulations are performed in the modulation unit 7 and the reception light are multiplexed, is detected for each of the plurality of portions of the local light.
