Abstract:
A speaker-based alarm system and method. In the system: when a fault occurs in an elevator of a high-rise building in a city at where an elevator alarm platform is located, location information and the building name of the high-rise building in which the fault occurs and the name of a street in the surrounding of the high-rise building in which the fault occurs are transmitted to an outdoor speaker monitoring platform via the Internet of Things, when the outdoor speaker monitoring platform determines the presence of a target speaker device in a working state on the street pertaining to the street name, an elevator fault voice alarm comprising the location information and the building name of the high-rise building in which the fault occurs is transmitted to the target speaker device via the Internet of Things, the elevator alarm platform deducts service fees proportional to the number of faults from an electronic account associated with the high-rise building in which the fault occurs, and the target speaker device outputs the elevator fault voice alarm. The alarm system and method allow the outside world to learn in a timely manner that a fault occurs in an elevator of a high-rise building, thus preventing the life of anyone trapped from being threatened.
