Abstract:
The present invention relates to a speaker switch and a controller that are added to a public address system, and more specifically to an apparatus that has speaker switches for connecting or blocking audio signals transmitted to terminal speakers additionally mounted in input terminals of a plurality of terminal speakers that are components of an existing public address system that has already been installed in the past, and that has a controller for controlling the speaker switches for each individual speaker or for each group additionally installed in central control equipment, thereby transmitting controlling signals via an existing broadcast line that has already been laid between the central control equipment and the terminal speakers so as to control the speaker switches, and a method therefor. According to the present invention, an old-fashioned public address system comprising a single broadcast line and an audio power amplifier can be upgraded to an advanced public address system that can facilitate group broadcasting allowing broadcasting for each particular floor or area without laying new broadcast lines for each group, a relay group or additional equipment such as a plurality of audio power amplifiers.
