Description:
SPECIAL JOINING METHOD FOR A FIXTURE BODY AND A WATER OUTLET AND A FIXTURE

OBTAINED BY SAID METHOD

Subject of the Invention

The invention relates to a fixing method for a fixture body and a fixture water outlet and to a fixture, which is obtained by said method and which allows said method to be applied.

State of the Art

The bodies and the water outlets for the currently used fixtures are manufactured as single pieces. The casting method is employed as the method for manufacturing the single piece comprised by the body and the water outlet. In the present state of the art the fixture body is obtained from the sand cores placed into the dies prepared prior to said method and from the melt liquid cast on these cores within the die. Once the casting process is complete, the metal that solidifies within the die forms the body of the fixture. The sand cores that remain inside the fixture body are broken down and expelled, and in this way, the water openings are obtained inside the fixture body.

By the nature of the manufacturing method, a radius (3) forms at the junction of the fixture body (2) according to the state of the art and the water outlet (4) according to the state of the art that are obtained via the casting process, it is not possible to eliminate this radius (3) on the fixture body obtained via the casting method. Within the scope of the invention, a novel fixture (A) and a manufacturing method for the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) have been developed, which do not involve the formation of said radius (3) and which at the same time allow the use of the manufacturing techniques other than the conventional casting method.

Object of the Invention The object of the invention is to develop a special joining method, which allows the fixture body and the water outlet to be formed as two different parts, thereby allowing the use of different manufacturing techniques for the parts to enable the advantage to be obtained in terms of cost, as well as enabling the water outlet and the fixture body to be joined in the junction region without the formation of a radius. The invention relates to a fixing method for a fixture body and a fixture water outlet and to a fixture, which is obtained by said method and which allows said method to be applied.

The invention concerns a special joining method, which allows the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) to be formed as two different parts, thereby allowing the use of different manufacturing techniques for the parts to enable the advantage to be obtained in terms of cost, as well as enabling the water outlet (10) and the fixture body (5) to be joined in the junction region without the formation of a radius, and a fixture obtained by said method.

The fixture body (2) according to the state of the art and the water outlet (4) according to the state of the art are manufactured as a single piece via the casting method and a radius forms (3) at the junction of the water outlet (4) according to the state of the art with the fixture body (2) according to the state of the art.

Within the scope of the invention, the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) may be manufactured as two separate parts and they may be fixed together in a reliable manner via the method developed within the scope of the invention. The fixture (A) developed within the scope of the invention comprises at least one fixture body (5) and at least one water outlet (10). The fixture (A) comprises said fixture body (5) and said water outlet (10) in the form of two separate parts that may be fitted together. In order to join the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) by means of the method developed within the scope of the invention, the fixture body (5) comprises at least one water outlet fixing protrusion (16), at least one bearing seat (17) on said fixing protrusion (16) and at least one fixing seat (13) on said fixing protrusion (16). The water outlet (10) comprises at least one abutting zone (14) and at least one fixing hole (15).

The fixture (A) additionally comprises at least one water flow control mechanism (18) and at least one flow regulator (11).

The water flow control mechanism (18) is fixed to the fixture body (5) via a fixing member or by means of the fitting method. The fixture body (5) is mounted on the washbasin by means of the fixture fixing apparatus (1). The water flow control mechanism (18) positioned into the fixture body enables the water coming from the plumbing system to be controlled via an electronic or mechanical system. The water leaving the flow control mechanism (18) runs into the body opening, proceeds from this opening to the water outlet (10), passes through the flow regulator (11) and flows outside the fixture.

A fixing protrusion (16) is present on the fixture body (5) developed within the scope of the invention, where the water outlet (10) is to be positioned. A bearing seat (17) is positioned on this fixing protrusion (16). According to the method developed within the scope of the invention, at least one sealing member (6) is positioned on the bearing seat (17) and the water outlet (10) is fitted on said fixing protrusion (16). The water outlet (10) abuts the fixture body (5) via the abutting zone (14) present on said water outlet. The fixing hole (15) on the water outlet (10) is disposed in the same direction as the fixing seat (13) on the fixture body (5). After the water outlet (10) is placed on the fixing protrusion (16), the fixing member (8) is fitted on the fixing hole (15) present on the water outlet (10) and the water outlet (10) is joined with the fixture body (5). Owing to the fixing seat (13) available on the fixing protrusion (16), the fixing member (8) advances in the fixing seat (13) located on the fixing protrusion (16) as said fixing member is tightened, thereby joining the water outlet (10) with the fixture body (5). Upon the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) being fixed together, a junction point (12) forms at the junction zone of the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10). No radius (3) forms at this junction point and the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) appear as a single piece.

Said fixing member (8) is preferably a screw. Since it is possible to manufacture of the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) in the form of two separate parts within the scope of the invention this may also allow the manufacture via the injection method, it is possible to manufacture the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) from zamak, plastic and plastic derivatives. Moreover, the brass, used in the present state of the art, may still be used in the manufacture. Since the change of material is enabled depending on the method of manufacture, the cost advantage is provided as compared to the fixture body (2) according to the state of the art and the water outlet (4) according to the state of the art, which are manufactured as a single piece according to the state of the art.

According to the method developed within the scope of the invention, the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) are fixed together as mentioned above to be brought into an integral state. At least one pipe (7) is fixed to at least one pipe fitting (9) on the water outlet via the methods such as shrink fit, screwing, fixing together the toothed surfaces and soldering. The flow regulator (11) may be fixed to the water outlet (10) and the pipe fitting (9) by way of screwing. The water flow control mechanism (18) is mounted into the fixture body (5) from the bottom. The pipe (7) may be fixed to the mounting region in the water flow control mechanism (18) via shrink fit or by way of fixing together the toothed surfaces. The fixture (A) is mounted to the washbasin by means of the fixture fixing apparatus (1). However, the sequence of actions will not be of significance as the order in which the parts are fitted to one another may be arranged in a way to provide convenience in terms of use. In case a material such as zamak, plastic, etc. is used in manufacturing the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) in said fixture (A), it is necessary to provide the hygiene conditions such that such materials would not lead to adverse effects from the perspective of health if the water contacts such materials as it advances towards the water outlet. In case of selection of a material that may not be hygienic, it is necessary to prevent the water from contacting such materials as it advances towards the water outlet. When a material that does not meet the required condition of hygiene is selected for the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10), the water exiting from the water flow control mechanisms is transported to the pipe fitting (9) with the aid of the pipe (7), from where it reaches the outlet of the fixture via the flow regulator (11). In case the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10) are manufactured from a material that is appropriate in terms of hygiene- and health-related requirements, for which material the brass may be mentioned as an example, the contact of such materials with the water will not bring about any disadvantage. In this case, there will be no need for the use of the pipe (7) and the pipe fitting (9). Such a use may be seen in Figure 5. The sealing member (6) positioned at the junction ensures that the water pouring from the water flow control mechanism (18) into the body opening will not cause leakage through the junction of the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10). Said sealing member (6) also precludes the tiny voids likely to form between the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10). Thanks to the fixing method developed within the scope of the invention for the fixture body (5) and the water outlet (10), these two parts may be manufactured independently of one another, thereby allowing the use of different materials in the manufacture and providing the advantages in terms of cost.
