Abstract:
The present invention provides a specific protein composition and a method for using the same. The composition is mainly a mixture of human rabies immunoglobulin (HRIG) and human tetanus immunoglobulin (HTIG), wherein the HRIG has an antibody tilter of 20 IU/ml or more, and the HTIG has an antibody tilter of 20 IU/ml or more, and the tilter ratio of HRIG to HTIG is 2.5:1. The method of using the composition comprises timely and completely cleaning the wound; first injecting subcutaneously a half of the specific protein composition around the injured area; injecting intramuscularly the remaining half of the composition mainly for preventing rabies and tetanus due to bit or scratch of a rabid dog or aother crazy animal, wherein the injection dose is 10-40IU/kg for HRIG, and 4-40IU/kg for HTIG.
