Abstract:

The present invention relates to a specimen preparation method for preparing an observation specimen by mounting an object to be observed on a light-transmitting plate. The specimen preparation method is characterised by including: a conveyance step in which the object to be observed is conveyed by a conveyance mechanism comprising a mounting part on which the object to be observed is mounted; and a transfer step in which, at an end-of-conveyance end of the conveyance mechanism, the object to be observed is transferred from the mounting part of the conveyance mechanism onto the plate. In the transfer step, a liquid is supplied to the mounting part on which the object to be observed is mounted, and the object to be observed is carried by the flow of the liquid to transfer said object onto the plate. Consequently, using a relatively simple structure, it is possible to prepare an observation specimen by appropriately transferring an object to be observed onto a plate.
