Abstract:
Disclosed is a specimen retention card with which specimen processing and the specification of personal information of a subject, etc. can be easily performed, and with which automation can be easily achieved. The specimen retention card comprises: a specimen carrier comprising a porous sheet; and a frame body surrounding the periphery of the porous sheet, the outer edge of the frame body having a circular shape or a regular polygonal shape. Both surfaces of the porous sheet are exposed from the frame body. By providing the frame body, the handling of the porous sheet is improved, and since the outer edge of the frame body has a circular shape or a regular polygonal shape, there is no need to adjust the orientation by hand when providing the card to an inspection device. Because both surfaces of the porous sheet are exposed from the frame body, punching with a punch is possible from either surface; the foregoing makes it possible to simplify inspection and eliminate adjustment of the orientation of the card by hand when providing the card to an inspection device. Therefore, automation can also be easily achieved.
