Abstract:
Disclosed are: a specimen treatment apparatus capable of guiding a location to which a specimen must be moved and automatically storing and managing a specimen ID; and a specimen collection method using same. The specimen treatment apparatus comprises: a universal transport medium (UTM) holding block which provides a receiving space for holding a plurality of UTMs, and comprises UTM LEDs arranged so as to correspond to the respective UTMs; and a PCR tube holding block which provides a receiving space for holding a plurality of PCR tubes, comprises PCR LEDs arranged so as to correspond to the respective PCR tubes and, according to the withdrawal of the UTMs held in the UTM holding block, enables the PCR LEDs corresponding to the PCR tubes to emit light according to the UTMs that are withdrawn.
