Title:
THE SPECTACLES EQUIPPED WITH THE WIND CUTOFF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/065307
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Double - windproof spectacles protect eyes from gale winds, from sudden changes in weather, and from dust or pollutants floating in the air, to prolong leisure such as mountain climbing, fishing or skiing. The spectacles have two tapered inclines from outside of each clear flat to bind to bows, and the length of the tapered inclines decreases toward other clear flat. And an elastic member beside the tapered inclines is fitted with the bows and a union link is located between two clear flats to bind them.

Description:
THE SPECTACLES EQUIPPED WITH THE WIND CUTOFF Field of the Invention The present invention relates to glasses and more particularly, to the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff capable of protecting the eyes of a user from a high wind or dusts when he enjoys a sport for leisure such as climbing, fishing, skiing and the like.

Background of the Invention Generally, glasses are put on for protecting the eyesight of a user and maintaining his current eyesight and however, in the case where the user is exposed to the wind blowing due to the variation of weather during he enjoys a sport for leisure such as climbing, fishing, skiing and so on, his eyes are suffered from the high wind or dusts coming in through the glasses, which may cause a pain to his eyes.

Particularly, in case where the user enjoys the leisure such as climbing, fishing, skiing and so on for a long time period, his eyes are exposed to the outside during the leisure and hence, it is likely that they feel a pain or are injured due to a high or strong wind according to the variation of weather, dusts in the atmosphere and the like.

Summary of the Invention It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff capable of protecting the eyes of a user from a high or strong wind according to the variation of weather, dusts or pollutants in the atmosphere and so on, in case where the user enjoys a leisure such as climbing, fishing,

skiing and so on for a long time period, whereby he can enjoy his desired leisure, without any inconvenience.

To attain this and other objects of the present invention, there is provided the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff comprising: a tapered slant face being folded downwardly from each of the one sides of two plates, each of plates being made of a transparent material, and extending longitudinally for coupling the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff to the bows of a pair of glasses of a user, the tapered slant face having a length extending to each of the other sides of the plates in a tapering manner; an elastic member formed integrally on the tapered slant faces, respectively, for inserting the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff into the bows of the pair of glasses; and a coupling member connected between the one side of the one plate and the one side of the other plate.

Brief Description of the Drawings Fig. 1 shows the coupling state of the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff according to the present invention to a pair of glasses of a user; and Fig. 2 is a partly sectional view showing the completely coupling state in use of the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff.

Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiment Now, an explanation of the construction and operation of the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff according to the present invention will be in detail discussed.

Fig. 1 shows the coupling state of the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff

according to the present invention to a pair of glasses of a user, and Fig. 2 is a partly sectional view showing the completely coupling state in use of the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff. The spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff includes: a tapered slant face 5 being folded downwardly from each of the one sides of two plates 3, each of plates being made of a transparent material, and extending longitudinally for coupling the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff 1 to the bows 101 of a pair of glasses of a user, the tapered slant face 5 having a length extending to each of the other sides of the plates 3 in a tapering manner; a coupling ring 7 as an elastic member formed integrally on the tapered slant faces 5, respectively, for inserting the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff 1 into the bows 101 of the pair of glasses of the user; and a coupling member 9 connected between the one side of the one plate 3 and the one side of the other plate 3.

In operation, the coupling ring 7 of the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff 1 is first inserted and coupled to the bows 101 of the pair of general glasses, respectively.

At this time, the coupling ring 7 is used with a string, preferably with a rubber material exhibiting an excellent expansion. This is because the coupling ring 7 of the rubber material is easily inserted into the bows 101 of the pair of glasses of the user irrespective of the thickness of the bows and further it is fixed, without any movement on the bows 101.

On the other hand, a user puts on the glasses in the state where the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff 1 is inserted into the hinge portion of the bows 101 of the glasses of the user and hence, the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff 1 come into close contact with his face, such that the tapered slant faces 5 can be surrounded

around his eyes. Thereby, the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff 1 can prevent the eyes of the user from a high or strong wind according to the variation of weather, dusts or pollutants in the atmosphere and so on. Furthermore, the tapered slant face 5 functioning to surround around the eyes is provided with a soft sponge on the bottom surface thereof, for preventing the corresponding skin of the user's face from being pressed.

In case of the summer season where ultraviolet rays are rich, on the other hand, the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff 1 can be applicable as ultraviolet rays protecting ones. To this end, the tapered slant face 5, which is folded downwardly on each side of the plates 3, serves to cut off the ultraviolet rays coming in through the glasses.

As discussed above, the spectacles equipped with the wind cutoff according to the present invention can protect the eyes of a user from a high or strong wind according to the variation of weather, dusts or pollutants in the atmosphere and so on, in case where the user enjoys a leisure such as climbing, fishing, skiing and so on for a long time period, whereby he can enjoy his desired leisure, without any inconvenience and protect the eyesight of the user from ultraviolet rays, particularly, in the summer season.
