Abstract:
Disclosed is a speech recognition system comprising a first information processing device and a second information processing device. The first information processing device is provided with a speech recognition processing unit that receives data sent over a network, said data to be used in speech recognition, and then performs speech recognition processing and sends the resulting data back. The second information processing device, which is connected to the first information processing device over the network, converts the data to be used in speech recognition by the speech recognition processing means into data in a format whereby the content cannot be determined but the speech recognition processing means can perform speech recognition processing. The second information processing device then sends the converted data and constructs a valid recognition result from the resulting data returned by the first information processing device.
