Abstract:
A speech recognizing device has an acoustic analyzing unit for analyzing a speech signal and a recognizing unit for speech recognition using an acoustic model and a language model. The recognizing unit is provided with a first scoring section for evaluating evaluation models in forward order while restricting models to be evaluated, a second scoring section for evaluating them in reverse order similarly, and a selecting section for selecting candidate words based on the results of evaluation by the first and second scoring sections. Thus, candidate words can be found out from the recognition of speech signal at high speed.
