Abstract:

Conventionally, inconsistencies occur in a speech recognition dictionary, a translation dictionary, and a speech synthesis dictionary which are used for a speech translation. It is possible to resolve the inconsistencies among the dictionaries by a dictionary server device which comprises an overall language pair dictionary storage unit, a speech recognition purpose information transmission unit, a translation purpose information transmission unit, and a speech synthesis purpose information transmission unit. The overall language pair dictionary storage unit is capable of storing two or more pieces of overall language term information used for a speech recognition, a translation, and a speech synthesis for two or more languages. The speech recognition purpose information transmission unit obtains speech recognition purpose information including speech recognition information of terms for all the languages and transmits the obtained information to one or more speech recognition server device. The translation purpose information transmission unit obtains translation purpose information including representations of the terms for all the languages and transmits the obtained information to one or more translation server device. The speech synthesis purpose information transmission unit obtains speech synthesis purpose information including speech synthesis information of the terms for all the languages and transmits the obtained information to one or more speech synthesis server device.
