Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a speed calculation device capable of accurately calculating the moving speed without relying on a signal from outside.
[Solution] A navigation device (1) is provided with an acceleration acquisition unit (10), an angular speed acquisition unit (11), a time difference detection unit (23), and a speed calculation unit (24). The acceleration acquisition unit (10) acquires the vertical acceleration of the axle of a front wheel or a rear wheel. The acceleration acquisition unit (10) acquires the pitch angular speed of an automobile. The time difference detection unit (23) detects a time difference (∆τ) between the vertical acceleration and the pitch angular speed. The speed calculation unit (24) calculates the moving speed of the automobile on the basis of the ratio between an axle-to-axle distance (2L) and the time difference (∆τ).
