Abstract:
Provided is a speed change controller for an electric vehicle capable of preventing the electric vehicle from being unable to travel due to an incomplete gear change by appropriately synchronizing the rotation of a transmission gear using a motor to achieve an intended gear shift with dog teeth securely engaged. When preselecting a prescribed gear shift in a gear mechanism (G2), rotational synchronization control is executed where a driving force of a motor (3) is transmitted to a transmission (2) to match the rotational speed N of an intended transmission gear with a target rotational speed NtgtUP, and then a synchronization mechanism for the gear shift is operated using a hydraulic cylinder to engage the dog teeth. The rotation of the transmission gear slows drastically when the oil temperature Toil of the transmission (2) is low, and thus the lower the oil temperature Toil, the larger the value set for an oil temperature correction coefficient KNtemp, and the target rotational speed NtgtUP is set to increase on the basis of the oil temperature correction coefficient KNtemp.
