Abstract:
It will be assumed that when the distal end of a tool exists at a point P at present, it should reach a point Q in the next cycle provided that the tool moves without changing its attitude. When the attitude of the tool changes during its movement, however, the distal end of the tool does not reach the point Q but reaches a point R spaced apart by a distance DELTAA in a certain direction from the point Q. Such a direction and a distance depend on the current tool attitude and an attitude interpolation quantity made when the tool is to move to the next cycle. Accordingly, the distal end of the tool can be brought from the point P to the point Q even when any change of the attitude exists during the movement, by having a distribution movement distance with respect to a moving axis in a linear direction include a correction amount capable of offsetting such direction and distance errors.
