Abstract:
In this speed governor for elevators, a projecting part is provided to a ratchet having ratchet teeth, and a hook part is provided to a pawl member including an operating pawl. A disengagement member imparts a force to the pawl member in a direction in which the operating pawl and the hook part separate from the ratchet. A damper imparts a resistance force to the pawl member that is displaced in the direction in which the operating pawl and the hook part separate from the ratchet. The trajectory of the ratchet teeth during rotation of the ratchet about a pulley shaft is an operational area. The operating pawl is maintained in the operational area by the hook part being hooked to the projecting part.
