Abstract:
Provided is a cycloid type speed reducer which can improve assembling precision while miniaturizing the speed reducer, which can reduce the noise level of the speed reducer, and which is suitable for an electric apparatus. A casing 4 of the cycloid type speed reducer 2 is formed of: a base end case 16 disposed on an input shaft 5-side end; a case 17 which also functions as an inner gear 8; and a distal end case 18 disposed on an output shaft 10-side end. One of the base end case 16, the case 17, and the distal end case 18 is formed of a metal material, and the cases 16, 17, 18 are respectively positioned by a positioning shaft 32 engaged with the case formed of the metal material.
